A 3 wood you can hit off the fairway is worth more strokes than a 3 wood you can only hit off a tee. If you are between lofts, take the higher one. Plenty of golfers get more out of a 5 wood than a strong 3, and almost nobody regrets it.

Common questions

What loft fairway wood should I get?

As a rule of thumb, a 15 degree 3 wood if you carry your driver more than 220 metres. An 18 degree 5 wood if you do not, or if you struggle to get the ball up off the fairway.

Can I order a fairway wood with a custom shaft?

Yes. Most Qi4D fairway woods are available as custom builds through any Drummond Golf store, with your choice of shaft, flex, length and grip. Allow two to three weeks.
