Callaway Hybrids

Callaway Quantum Max and Max OS hybrids, the Apex Utility Wood and the Apex 26 Utility Iron, plus run-out Paradym Ai Smoke. A hybrid is the easiest long club in the bag to hit and replaces a 3 or 4 iron for most golfers. Free MiMatch fitting at every store.

Our take on Callaway hybrids

If you carry a 3 iron and you do not hit it well, swap it for a Quantum Max hybrid and you will notice on the first hole. The Apex utilities are the exception in this range: they are driving irons for better players who want a lower, more controlled flight, not easier long clubs.

Common questions

What is the difference between a hybrid and a utility iron?

A hybrid has a wood-shaped head, launches higher and is far easier to hit from the rough. A utility iron like the Apex 26 has an iron shape, flies lower and suits better players who want control off the tee.

Which iron should a hybrid replace?

Match the loft. A 19 degree hybrid replaces a 3 iron, 22 degrees replaces a 4 iron and 25 degrees replaces a 5 iron. Bring your set in and we will check the gaps.
