Skort, skirt or shorts?

A skort is a skirt with shorts built in underneath. It looks like a skirt, it moves like shorts, and it takes the whole question of wind, bending and cart seats off the table. It is the most common bottom in women's golf for exactly that reason, and if you are buying your first one it is almost certainly what you want.

A skirt has no built-in short. Some golfers prefer the cut and wear their own shorts underneath. Fewer are made, so the choice is narrower.

Shorts are shorts. Worth having for hot rounds and for clubs with a more relaxed dress code. If you are buying one bottom to start with, make it a skort. If you are buying a second, make it shorts.
