Putters

PING recently announced the arrival of 10 new putter models including blades, mid-mallets and mallets. Featuring the company’s proven putter technologies, each flat stick has been carefully designed to deliver proper balance, feel and forgiveness. PING engineers crafted each of the ten putters with an individual approach to ensure they can offer a model to fit every golfer. All models include confidence-inspiring alignment cues.

Anser
The ultra-popular Anser boasts tungsten toe-heel weights for even more stability and forgiveness. The classic-looking blade contains a shallow milled face for a firmer feel and consistent ball speed. And, to continue its reign as the winningest putter on Tour in history, the Anser uses topline contrasts for an improved alignment cue.

Anser 2D
Inspired by PGA Tour star Tony Finau, Anser 2D features a PEBAX insert with a shallow milled surround. This construction offers a softer feel with pleasing acoustics. Like the Anser, Anser 2D uses tungsten toe-heel weights for a more consistent roll. This new model from PING has a single white line to contrast with the matte-black head to assist alignment.

Kushin 4
Kushin 4 is another blade model that contains tungsten toe and heel weights for better accuracy. The traditional-looking putter best suits golfers with strong-arc stroke type. Kushin 4 offers a firm feel off the putter face and a short alignment line with a ball-width cavity floor to better frame putts.

Shea
Shea is fitted to best suit players with a slight-arc putting stroke. The mid-mallet model is crafted for ultimate forgiveness and its longer alignment line simplifies setting up on target.

DS72
DS72 is named in honour of Karsten’s former chief engineer Doug Sanders. The tour-proven mid-mallet model displays a more squared off profile for a pleasing look. Its shallow milled face delivers a firmer feel and is fitted for golfers who adopt a straight to slight-arc putting stroke.

DS72 C
Ideally suited for golfers with a straight-arc putting stroke, DS72 C includes the features of DS72 with a center-shafted head fitted for visual symmetry for its difference.

DS72 Armlock
The mid-mallet style putter contains the features and benefits of DS72 and is built with a shaft and grip seven inches longer than standard length to fit players who prefer the armlock stroke.

Tyne G
The easy-to-aim model uses three white lines and a ball-width cavity for its simple alignment tool. The ‘Fetch’ model features a ball-pickup cutout. This cutout allows the redistribution of mass to its perimeter for improved stability and forgiveness. Tyne G includes a PEBAX insert for a pleasing sound and soft feel.

Prime Tyne 4
The Tour-proven Prime Tyne 4 continues to evolve with a new colour blocking makeup that uses a platinum topline contrasted against its black cavity to draw the focus forward for better alignment at set up. The top-performing model displaying its characteristic twin forks is best suited to players with a strong-arc putting stroke.

Mundy
Mundy is a new design and named after PING’s first business manager and long-time employee, Jack Mundy. The multi-material traditionally shaped mallet, is engineered by joining a lighter aluminum body to a 304 stainless steel sole plate. This composition positions the putters center of gravity low and back for more forgiveness. Mundy includes PING’s PEBEAX insert for a soft feel off the blade. And, its three full-length, ball-width alignment lines make it easier to set up correctly to the target.

Tomcat 14
New to PING’s lineup, Tomcat 14 has a head weight of 380g, meaning the mallet-style putter offers players the heaviest head weighted model in the range. Tomcat 14 uses the multi-material construction of lighter aluminum and stainless steel to achieve the center of gravity low/ back for greater tolerance. Alignment is supported by ball-width runway-style dotted lines etched all the way to the ball. Its smooth milled face offers a firm feel and marginally faster ball speed.
