i230 Irons & iCrossover

PING’s popular ‘i’ series now boasts two new additions with the launch of i230 irons and iCrossover.

I230 irons were crafted to suit all golfers. PING engineers balanced a variety of performance attributes in their pursuit to deliver the accurate control and consistency of a players iron with the forgiveness of a game improvement iron. Weight savings achieved through advancements in elastomer technology allowed engineers to carefully re-allocate mass within the clubhead for a lower center of gravity offering more distance and forgiveness. The elastomer reinforces the clubface and provides greater face bending for more energy transfer at impact. PING testing indicated golfers gained three yards in total distance. The meticulously-crafted irons feature tungsten toe and tip weights for even more forgiveness.

A satisfying impact experience begins with a pleasing feel and sound. I230 irons contain a four-piece cavity badge to reduce undesirable frequencies and vibrations. The clean-looking multi-material badge uses a thin 304 stainless steel cap with an injection-molded thermoplastic to ensure a pure feel with every iron in the bag.

The tour-proven i230 irons feature a rounded leading edge sole design with ample bounce. This confidence-inspiring look delivers smooth turf interaction for consistent ballstriking. I230 irons contain precision-milled MicroMax grooves for improved accuracy in the long irons and maximum control and spin in the short irons and wedges.

iCrossover is available in 2XR, 3XR & 4XR and best suited to golfers with a high-swing speed. The tour-inspired model is the ideal alternative for players seeking long-iron replacements. iCrossover is constructed using a maraging steel face with a lower center of gravity to increase ball speeds for longer distance and higher launch.

iCrossover shares design traits with the i230 irons. The compact tour-style looking clubs fit seamlessly into an i230 irons set. Both models are crafted with similar sole shaping, including the rounded lead edge and ample bounce. All products boast precision-milled MicroMax grooves.

Another benefit of the iCrossover is its adjustable hosel with eight settings for loft and lie. A first in an iron-style design, golfers can dial in their desired ball flight with a quick and easy adjustment. The lightweight hosel offers a range of + or – 1.5 degrees of loft and lie in various combinations.
