2022 THE CJ CUP
Rory McIlroy notched his 23rd PGA Tour after successfully defending his title at The CJ CUP in South Carolina. With his one-shot victory, the TaylorMade brand ambassador moves back to world No. 1 for the first time since July 2020.
The four-time major winner posted rounds of 66, 67, 67 and 67 at Congaree Golf Club to reach 17-under. The superb tally featured two eagles and 21 birdies. McIlroy led the field in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and Strokes Gained: Tee To Green. The long-hitting Northern Irishman used his TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver to head the field in Driving Distance with a massive 349.6-yard average.
With his win, McIlroy moves to 5th position on the 2022/23 FedExCup standings.
