Rose Enjoys Sweet Victory at Pebble
England’s Justin Rose collected his first win on the PGA Tour in four years after his stunning victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am. The 42-year-old closed with a brilliant 6-under 66 to win by three shots. It was the former world No. 1’s 11th PGA Tour title and first victory since the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2019.
Rose, who held the 54-hole lead, fired rounds of 69, 69, 65 and 66 to reach 18-under. Brendon Todd and Brandon Wu took a share of second place at 15-under. Todd fired a 7-under 65 final round that included seven birdies and one eagle. Wu posted a bogey-free 6-under 66. Denny McCarthy (64) and Keith Mitchell (68) finished in a share of fourth place one shot further back at 14-under.
Aaron Baddeley was the best placed Australian. The 41-year-old started the event strong opening with a 65. Baddeley closed with a 1-under 71 to get to five under and record a T37 result.
The PGA Tour moves to Arizona for next week’s WM Phoenix Open to be staged at TPC Scottsdale. America’s Scottie Schefler is the defending champion.

Smith Ends Winless Drought At TPS Murray River
Australia’s Sarah Jane Smith returned to the winner’s circle for the first time since 2008 after her superb victory at TPS Murray River. The 38-year-old blew away the mixed gender field at Cobram Barooga to win by five shots. Smith becomes the third women to claim a TPS title after fellow Australian Hannah Green hoisted the trophy at TPS Murray River 12 months ago. Korea’s Min A Yoon won last week’s TPS Victoria after producing a sizzling 8-under 63 on the final day.
Smith fired all four rounds in the 60s with opening rounds of 67 and 69. She posted a sensational 8-under 63 on Saturday to vault into contention and share the 54-hole lead. The 15-year professional held her nerve under the final round pressure missing just one fairway and two greens when she carded a 6-under 65 to reach 20-under for the event. The win and $45,000 prize check will provide some comfort for Smith, who lost her full playing rights on the LPGA Tour at the end of last year.
Victoria’s Andrew Martin and Queensland’s Shae Wools-Cobb took a share of second place at 15-under. Martin made a hot start with birdies at the opening four holes. He then produced an eagle at the 13th hole to move within one shot of the lead. However, the Victorian PGA champion made a double-bogey at the 14th hole to fall out of contention. Martin signed for a 5-under 66 while Wools-Cobb fired a 4-under 67. Joint 54-hole leader Matias Sanchez closed with an even par 71 to reach 14-under and finish in solo fourth place.
New Zealand’s Kit Bittle enjoyed the fruits of producing an ace shot. The 24-year-old scored a hole-in-one at the par 3, 3rd hole to win a BMW iX valued at more than $100,000.
Cameron Pollard collect the All Abilities title to back up his victory last week at TPS Victoria. Max Fedmowski, aged 17, won the TPS Junior Players Series with a stunning 3-under 68.
