Minjee Lee Crowned With A Record Third Greg Norman Medal

Minjee Lee has been honoured with the Greg Norman Medal at the 2023 PGA Awards staged in Brisbane on Tuesday night. It was the third time the 27-year-old has been crowned with the coveted title after winning in 2018 and 2021. Lee boasts the most Greg Norman Medals overtaking Cameron Smith and Jason Day who own two each. The annual award was introduced in 2015 to recognise the best male or female professional Australian golfer on the world stage.

Lee won two times during the 2023 LPGA Tour season with wins at the Kroger Queen City Championship in September and the BMW Ladies Championship in October. Both victories were scored in playoffs. The Western Australian finished runner up at the Cognizant Founders Cup in May and tallied 12 top 20 results on the LPGA Tour for the year. Lee ended the LPGA Tour season ranked 5th on the Race To CME Globe and 5th in the Rolex World Rankings.

The two-time major champion overcame a strong field of contenders that included Cameron Smith and her brother, Min Woo Lee.
